“I write to understand why things happened the way they did.” this really inspires me. I am just starting to become comfortable enough to share my writing and work in a public forum, but I’m not comfortable enough to fully identify myself as the author. I don’t know if it’s perfectionism, fear of inadequacy, or the intimate nature of most of the things I write, but I don’t share often. When I read that, it hit me that I not only write to understand, but maybe to be understood as well. Thank you.

Thank you! I was the same way for along time. Whether it’s shit or not – you learn, you grow and no one else’s opinion really matters unless you let it. Fuck ‘em, post it. Identify yourself. You are you.
